People who Survived 9/11
The head of a company survived *

One woman was late because her*

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike *

One couldn't *

*
The one that struck me was the man *
who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
took the various means to get to work but before he got there,
he developed a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am
stuck in traffic,
miss an elevator,
turn back to answer a ringing telephone,
all the little things that annoy me,
I think to myself,
this is exactly where
God wants me to be
at this very moment.
Next time your morning seems to be

the children are slow getting dressed,
you can't seem to find the car keys,
you hit every traffic light,
don't get mad or frustrated;
God is at work watching over you.
May God continue to bless you
with all those annoying little things
and may you remember their possible purpose.

Barack Obama’s Victory Speech
Below are Barack Obama’s remarks in Chicago as he won the US Election:
1.If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible; who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time; who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.
2.
It’s the answer told by lines that stretched around schools and churches in numbers this nation has never seen; by people who waited three hours and four hours, many for the very first time in their lives, because they believed that this time must be different; that their voice could be that difference.
3.
It’s the answer spoken by young and old, rich and poor, Democrat and Republican, black, white, Latino, Asian, Native American, gay, straight, disabled and not disabled – Americans who sent a message to the world that we have never been a collection of Red States and Blue States: we are, and always will be, the United States of America.
4.
It’s the answer that led those who have been told for so long by so many to be cynical, and fearful, and doubtful of what we can achieve to put their hands on the arc of history and bend it once more toward the hope of a better day.
5.
It’s been a long time coming, but tonight, because of what we did on this day, in this election, at this defining moment, change has come to America.
6.
I just received a very gracious call from Senator McCain. He fought long and hard in this campaign, and he’s fought even longer and harder for the country he loves. He has endured sacrifices for America that most of us cannot begin to imagine, and we are better off for the service rendered by this brave and selfless leader. I congratulate him and Governor Palin for all they have achieved, and I look forward to working with them to renew this nation’s promise in the months ahead.
7.
I want to thank my partner in this journey, a man who campaigned from his heart and spoke for the men and women he grew up with on the streets of Scranton and rode with on that train home to Delaware, the Vice President-elect of the United States, Joe Biden.
8.
I would not be standing here tonight without the unyielding support of my best friend for the last sixteen years, the rock of our family and the love of my life, our nation’s next First Lady, Michelle Obama. Sasha and Malia, I love you both so much, and you have earned the new puppy that’s coming with us to the White House. And while she’s no longer with us, I know my grandmother is watching, along with the family that made me who I am. I miss them tonight, and know that my debt to them is beyond measure.
9.
To my campaign manager David Plouffe, my chief strategist David Axelrod, and the best campaign team ever assembled in the history of politics – you made this happen, and I am forever grateful for what you’ve sacrificed to get it done.
But above all, I will never forget who this victory truly belongs to – it belongs to you.
10.
I was never the likeliest candidate for this office. We didn’t start with much money or many endorsements. Our campaign was not hatched in the halls of Washington – it began in the backyards of Des Moines and the living rooms of Concord and the front porches of Charleston.
11.
It was built by working men and women who dug into what little savings they had to give five dollars and ten dollars and twenty dollars to this cause. It grew strength from the young people who rejected the myth of their generation’s apathy; who left their homes and their families for jobs that offered little pay and less sleep; from the not-so-young people who braved the bitter cold and scorching heat to knock on the doors of perfect strangers; from the millions of Americans who volunteered, and organized, and proved that more than two centuries later, a government of the people, by the people and for the people has not perished from this Earth. This is your victory.
12.
I know you didn’t do this just to win an election and I know you didn’t do it for me. You did it because you understand the enormity of the task that lies ahead. For even as we celebrate tonight, we know the challenges that tomorrow will bring are the greatest of our lifetime – two wars, a planet in peril, the worst financial crisis in a century. Even as we stand here tonight, we know there are brave Americans waking up in the deserts of Iraq and the mountains of Afghanistan to risk their lives for us. There are mothers and fathers who will lie awake after their children fall asleep and wonder how they’ll make the mortgage, or pay their doctor’s bills, or save enough for college. There is new energy to harness and new jobs to be created; new schools to build and threats to meet and alliances to repair.
13.
The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term, but America – I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you – we as a people will get there.
14.
There will be setbacks and false starts. There are many who won’t agree with every decision or policy I make as President, and we know that government can’t solve every problem. But I will always be honest with you about the challenges we face. I will listen to you, especially when we disagree. And above all, I will ask you join in the work of remaking this nation the only way it’s been done in America for two-hundred and twenty-one years – block by block, brick by brick, calloused hand by calloused hand.
15.
What began twenty-one months ago in the depths of winter must not end on this autumn night. This victory alone is not the change we seek – it is only the chance for us to make that change. And that cannot happen if we go back to the way things were. It cannot happen without you.
16.
So let us summon a new spirit of patriotism; of service and responsibility where each of us resolves to pitch in and work harder and look after not only ourselves, but each other. Let us remember that if this financial crisis taught us anything, it’s that we cannot have a thriving Wall Street while Main Street suffers – in this country, we rise or fall as one nation; as one people.
17.
Let us resist the temptation to fall back on the same partisanship and pettiness and immaturity that has poisoned our politics for so long. Let us remember that it was a man from this state who first carried the banner of the Republican Party to the White House – a party founded on the values of self-reliance, individual liberty, and national unity. Those are values we all share, and while the Democratic Party has won a great victory tonight, we do so with a measure of humility and determination to heal the divides that have held back our progress. As Lincoln said to a nation far more divided than ours, “We are not enemies, but friends…though passion may have strained it must not break our bonds of affection.” And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn – I may not have won your vote, but I hear your voices, I need your help, and I will be your President too.
18.
And to all those watching tonight from beyond our shores, from parliaments and palaces to those who are huddled around radios in the forgotten corners of our world – our stories are singular, but our destiny is shared, and a new dawn of American leadership is at hand. To those who would tear this world down – we will defeat you. To those who seek peace and security – we support you. And to all those who have wondered if America’s beacon still burns as bright – tonight we proved once more that the true strength of our nation comes not from our the might of our arms or the scale of our wealth, but from the enduring power of our ideals: democracy, liberty, opportunity, and unyielding hope.
19.
For that is the true genius of America – that America can change. Our union can be perfected. And what we have already achieved gives us hope for what we can and must achieve tomorrow.
20.
This election had many firsts and many stories that will be told for generations. But one that’s on my mind tonight is about a woman who cast her ballot in Atlanta. She’s a lot like the millions of others who stood in line to make their voice heard in this election except for one thing – Ann Nixon Cooper is 106 years old.
21.
She was born just a generation past slavery; a time when there were no cars on the road or planes in the sky; when someone like her couldn’t vote for two reasons – because she was a woman and because of the color of her skin.
22.
And tonight, I think about all that she’s seen throughout her century in America – the heartache and the hope; the struggle and the progress; the times we were told that we can’t, and the people who pressed on with that American creed: Yes we can.
23.
At a time when women’s voices were silenced and their hopes dismissed, she lived to see them stand up and speak out and reach for the ballot. Yes we can.
24.
When there was despair in the dust bowl and depression across the land, she saw a nation conquer fear itself with a New Deal, new jobs and a new sense of common purpose. Yes we can.
25.
When the bombs fell on our harbor and tyranny threatened the world, she was there to witness a generation rise to greatness and a democracy was saved. Yes we can.
26.
She was there for the buses in Montgomery, the hoses in Birmingham, a bridge in Selma, and a preacher from Atlanta who told a people that “We Shall Overcome.” Yes we can.
27.
A man touched down on the moon, a wall came down in Berlin, a world was connected by our own science and imagination. And this year, in this election, she touched her finger to a screen, and cast her vote, because after 106 years in America, through the best of times and the darkest of hours, she knows how America can change. Yes we can.
28.
America, we have come so far. We have seen so much. But there is so much more to do. So tonight, let us ask ourselves – if our children should live to see the next century; if my daughters should be so lucky to live as long as Ann Nixon Cooper, what change will they see? What progress will we have made?
29.
This is our chance to answer that call. This is our moment. This is our time – to put our people back to work and open doors of opportunity for our kids; to restore prosperity and promote the cause of peace; to reclaim the American Dream and reaffirm that fundamental truth – that out of many, we are one; that while we breathe, we hope, and where we are met with cynicism, and doubt, and those who tell us that we can’t, we will respond with that timeless creed that sums up the spirit of a people:
30.
Yes We Can. Thank you, God bless you, and may God Bless the United States of America.
OMG, although I am not American, I really think that his speech is so inspiring... I really hope better future for the world.. Yes We Can.. just like the Malaysian "Malaysia Boleh"... BUT do the Malaysian have the guts to change???

Beijing Olympic 2008 - Badminton - Disappointment - Lee Chong Wei LOST TO Lin Dan
Nevertheless, we have to congratulate him for making it to the final of the badminton men single. Without doubt, he is the most successful and talented player our country ever produced.
Personally, I am so very much disappointed on the result. Its not because he had lost the match but it is more on the performance of Chong Wei during the final. It is UNFORGIVEN to lost a match like that taking into consideration on his world no 2 status. Its look like that he lack of mental fitness and cannot bear the pressure being our hope to take our very first olympic gold medal. If he had lost with better margin, say for example 20-22, 22-20, and bring the match into rubber set, then I will say that he lost with pride and he deserved to be called national hero because he has done his best. But we know how he lost in most embarassing score of 12-21, 8-21.
He lost in every aspect of the match. From net to baseline, from smash to drop shot, and from physical to mental wise. He don't deserved to lost like that. It is a shameful lost for Malaysia. Chong Wei was too 'nice' last nite and didn't even showed any aggresive smash.
Nevertheless, I know He has done everything he could last nite but things as last nite happen to any top player in the world. They sometimes lost the momentum they needed.Last nite, shows how pressure had made him lost.
Chong Wei, we will always support you and wish you all the best.. There's still a lot waiting for you in the future...

TEENAGER'S VIEW OF HEAVEN
Got this beautiful story from an email sent to me...
for a class. The subject was what Heaven was like. 'I wowed 'em,' he
later told his father, Bruce. 'It's a killer. It's the bomb. It's the
best thing I ever wrote..' It also was the last.
Brian Moore died
driving home from a friend's house when his car went off
wreck unharmed but stepped on a downed power line and was electrocuted.
The
family portraits in the living room. 'I think God used him to make a
point. I think we were meant to find it and make something out of it,'
Mrs. Moore said of the essay. She and her husband want to share their
son's vision of life after death. 'I'm happy for Brian. I know he's in
heaven. I know I'll see him.'
Brian's Essay: The Room...
In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in
the room. There were no distinguishing features except for the one wall
covered with small index card files. They were like the ones in
libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order.
But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and
seemingly endless in either direction, had very different headings. As I
drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one
that read 'Girls I have liked.' I opened it and began flipping through
the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the
names written on each one.
And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.
This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog
system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment,
big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder
and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began
randomly opening files and exploring their content.
Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and
regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone
was watching.
A file named 'Friends' was next to one marked 'Friends I have
betrayed.' The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird
'Books I Have Read,' 'Lies I Have Told,' 'Comfort I have Given,' 'Jokes
I Have Laughed at .' Some were almost hilarious in their exactness:
'Things I've yelled at my brothers.' Others I couldn't laugh at: 'Things
I Have Done in My Anger', 'Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My
Parents.' I never ceased to be surprised by the contents.
Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer
than I hoped I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had
lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my years to fill each
of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed
this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my
signature.
When I pulled out the file marked 'TV Shows I have watched', I
realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed
tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the
file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of shows but more by
the vast time I knew that file represented.
When I came to a file marked 'Lustful Thoughts,' I felt a chill
run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to
test its size and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content.
I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded. An
almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: No one
must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to
destroy them!' In insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't
matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at
one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a
single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it
as strong as steel when I tried to tear it.
Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot.
Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying
sigh.
And then I saw it.. The title bore 'People I Have Shared the
Gospel With.' The handle was brighter than those around it, newer,
almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than
three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it
contained on one hand.
And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that they
hurt. They started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my
knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of
it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one
must ever, ever know of this room. I must lock it up and hide the key.
But then as I pushed away the tears, I saw Him.
No, please not Him. Not here. Oh, anyone but Jesus. I watched
helplessly as He began to open the files and read the cards. I couldn't
bear to watch His response And in the moments I could bring myself to
look at His face, I saw a sorrow deeper than my own.
He seemed to intuitively go to the worst boxes. Why did He have
to read every one? Finally He turned and looked at me from across the
room. He looked at me with pity in His eyes. But this was a pity that
didn't anger me. I dropped my head, covered my face with my hands and
began to cry again. He walked over and put His arm around me. He could
have said so many things. But He didn't say a word. He just cried with
me.
Then He got up and walked back to the wall of files. Starting at
one end of the room, He took out a file and, one by one, began to sign
His name over mine on each card. 'No!' I shouted rushing to Him. All I
could find to say was 'No, no,' as I pulled the card from Him. His name
shouldn't be on these cards. But there it was, written in red so rich,
so dark, so alive. The name of Jesus covered mine. It was written with
His blood. He gently took the card back. He smiled a sad smile and
began to sign the cards. I don't think I'll ever understand how He did
it so quickly, but the next instant it seemed I heard Him close the last
file and walk back to my side.
He placed His hand on my shoulder and said, 'It is finished.' I
stood up, and He led me out of the room. There was no lock on its door.
There were still cards to be written.
'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens
believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.' If you feel the
same way forward it so the love of Jesus will touch their lives also. My
'People I shared the gospel with' file just got bigger, how about yours?

This is a story about a mistake a politician made in French.
Canada's Prime Minister in the late 50's and early 60's was John Diefenbaker, notorious in the French-speaking province of Quebec for his horrible French pronunciation, (he couldn't speak French, he just read it out loud.) One day, he was expressing his appreciation for having been invited to attend a ceremony in Quebec. He mispronounced the word "appreciate" in French. In English, it's pronounced "appree-shee-ate" but in French they say "appréciez" pronounced "appray-see-aye". He actually pronounced it, "appray-shee-aye", which means "after having shit". So, what his French audience heard was, "After having shit, I am pleased to be here." Thanks to Tim Penner.

Test Your Mind - Optical Illusion
Hidden Face in Coffee Beans and other illusions...
I actually got it from a website. See more of this illusion from here....
In the meantime.... more from that site..
The Hidden Tiger Illusion
See if you can find the hidden tiger? Think outside the box on this one...
I've tried and i am tired trying... i couldn't find the hidden tiger??? Anyone please help me..
The picture below is something that i can't explain either..lol
The Mystery of Brain
Recently i received an email forwarded to me from a friend of mine, which the contents really amazed me. It really strengthen my faith and made me ponder the mystery of creation... I would like to share it with all of you.. lets just reflect how amazing our Creator is...
Read out loud the text inside the triangle below.
More than likely you said, 'A bird in the bush,'! and. .. if this IS what YOU said, then you failed to see that the word THE is repeated twice! Sorry, look again.
Next, let's play with some words.
What do you see?
In black you can read the word GOOD, in white the word EVIL (inside each black letter is a white letter). It's all very physiological too, because it visualizes the concept that good can't exist without evil (or the absence of good is evil).
Now, what do you see?
You may not see it at first, but the white spaces read the word optical, the blue landscape reads the word illusion. Look again! Can you see why this painting is called an optical illusion?
What do you see here?
This one is quite tricky! The word TEACH reflects as LEARN.
Last one. What do you see?
You probably read the word ME in brown, but.......when you look through ME you will see YOU! Do you need to look again? Test Your Brain..
This is really cool. The second one is amazing so please read all the way though.
ALZHEIMERS' EYE TEST
Count every ' F' in the following text:
FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE
SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTI
FIC STUDY COMBINED WITH
THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS...
(SEE BELOW)
HOW MANY ?
WRONG, THERE ARE 6-- no joke.
READ IT AGAIN !
Really, go Back and Try to find the 6 F's before you scroll down.
The reasoning behind is further down. The brain cannot process 'OF'.
Incredible or what? Go back and look again!! Anyone who counts all 6 'F's' on the first go is a genius.
Three is normal, four is quite rare.

Wimbledon - Nadal claims first Wimbledon title
Eurosport - Mon, 07 Jul 09:13:00 2008
Rafael Nadal ended Roger Federer's five-year reign as king of Wimbledon with a 6-4 6-4 6-7 6-7 9-7 victory in one of the most dramatic finals seen at the All England Club.
The 22-year-old Nadal survived an incredible Federer fightback to become the first Spaniard to win the grasscourt grand slam since Manuel Santana in 1966. He is also the first man since Bjorn Borg in 1980 to win the French Open and Wimbledon in the same year.
After two rain interruptions the players returned to court for a third time with light fading fast and in a nerve-shredding finale the contest ended with Nadal collapsing to the dusty baseline after a Federer forehand struck the net.
"It's impossible to explain what I felt in that moment...winning my favourite tournament, it's a dream," Nadal said after climbing through the crowd to hug his family and shake hands with Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia of Spain in the Royal Box.
"He's (Federer) still the number one, he's still the best, he's five times champion, now I have one."
Defeat ended Federer's six-year unbeaten run on grass, spanning 65 matches and ended his hopes of surpassing Borg's five consecutive Wimbledon titles.
The Swiss, who is still two grand slam titles shy of Pete Sampras's record 14, took defeat like a true champion, although he later said it was too dark to play at the end.
"I tried everything," the 26-year-old said on court. "Rafa is a deserving champion, he just played fantastic.
"It didn't make it easier but I expected the worst. It's the worst opponent on the best court. It's been a joy to play here again. It's a pity I couldn't win it but I'll be back next year."
A shattered-looking Federer later told reporters it was the "hardest" loss of his career.
The final was delayed by half an hour because of rain and when battle did commence it was world number two Nadal who came out firing on all cylinders.
He broke Federer's second service game when the Swiss completely missed a backhand in the gusty conditions.
Nadal targeted Federer's off-key backhand relentlessly and it paid handsome dividends as the Swiss failed to capitalise on several chances to get back into the set.
Federer had two break points when Nadal served for the set at 5-4 but failed to convert and then netted another backhand to hand the marauding Majorcan the opener.
Nadal soon found himself 4-1 down in the second set as Federer's game clicked but he broke back in the seventh game with a pummelled pass that flew off Federer's racket.
With the momentum back Nadal applied the thumbscrews on Federer to break again, forging a two-set lead and sending the Swiss slouching despondently back to his chair.
Nadal seemed closed to victory at 3-3 in the third set when Federer fell 0-40 down on serve but the Swiss served his way out trouble and suddenly the spark returned.
After the first lengthy rain delay he pounced in the tiebreak, taking control with two sweetly struck forehands before clinching the third set with an ace.
Twice Federer showed tremendous resolve when he served to stay alive at 4-5 and 5-6 in the fourth set before a tiebreak that had the crowd gripping their seats.
Nadal held a 5-2 lead but served a nervy double fault. Still the Spaniard carved out a championship point at 7-6 but Federer saved it with a service winner.
Nadal carved out a second match point, this time on his serve, at 8-7 with a running forehand pass. Pinned in the corner, Federer then conjured a magical backhand up the line.
When he secured the tiebreak 10-8 football-style chants echoed around court for both players.
Rain stopped play again at 2-2 in the decider and when the players returned the atmosphere crackled. Both players refused to blink as games went with serve but it was a weary Federer who wavered at 7-7.
Federer saved one match point with a fizzing backhand but Nadal would not be denied his first grand slam title away from Roland Garros, bagging victory after four hours 48 minutes of supreme sporting theatre.
Reuters EmPETRONAS DAN HARGA MINYAK by Dr. Mahathir Mohamad

Tips on filling your vehicles
This is a Message received from a friend:
I don’t know what you guys are paying for petrol… but here in Durban, we are also paying higher, up to 47.35 per litre. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money’s worth for every litre. Here at the Marian Hill Pipeline, where I work in Durban, we deliver about 4 million litres in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel; the next day is jet fuel, and petrol, LRP and Unleaded. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 litres.
ONLY BUY OR FILL UP YOUR CAR OR BIKKIE IN THE EARLY MORNING WHEN THE GROUND TEMPERATURE IS STILL COLD. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground, the denser the fuel, when it gets warmer petrol expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening…. your litre is not exactly a litre.
In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the petrol, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products play an important role. A 1degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
WHEN YOU’RE FILLING UP, DO NOT SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER OF THE NOZZLE TO A FAST MODE. If you look, you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode, you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapours that are created, while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapour return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapour. Those vapours are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you’re getting less worth for your money.
ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT TIPS IS TO FILL UP WHEN YOUR TANK IS HALF FULL. The reason for this is, the more fuel you have in your tank, the less air occupying its empty space. Petrol evaporates faster than you can imagine. Petroleum storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the petrol and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated, so that every litre is actually the exact amount.
ANOTHER REMINDER, IF THERE IS A FUEL TRUCK PUMPING INTO THE STORAGE TANKS, WHEN YOU STOP TO BUY, DO NOT FILL UP - most likely the petrol/diesel is being stirred up as the fuel is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. Hope, this will help you get the maximum value for your money.
DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS! LET’S SHARE INFORMATION AND BENEFIT ALL, FOR THE BETTER OF MANKIND

'Massive op' to flush out Sabah's illegal immigrants?????
'Massive op' to flush out Sabah's illegal immigrants
KUALA LUMPUR: The Government will launch a "massive operation' against illegal immigrants in Sabah soon, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said Wednesday.
He said all foreign nationals without identification documents issued by their own countries or by Malaysia's Immigration Department would be deported.
Speaking to reporters after chairing a Cabinet committee meeting on illegal immigrants in Sabah, he said he would meet with with Barisan Nasional leaders of the start before the operation gets under way.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the Government realised that illegal immigrants had become a serious problem and that the people in Sabah wanted it to be resolved effectively.
As a Sabahan myself, I am very grateful that the federal government shows some concern over this matter. Every genuine Sabahan knows how much we needed this kind of operation. There you go…. Our gov is our hero, they deserve a big hand from us…. *clap, *clap, *clap… lol…
Hmmmm… I wonder why I am not happy on the announcement made by the DPM moments ago. I did watch the news at Buletin 1.30 of TV3.
Deep down in my heart, I know that this is only an eyewash to regain the support of Sabahan, or in other words, they want the people to forget about the motion proposal by YTL. If I am not mistaken, the same government ever announced the same announcement few years back. I cannot recall the exact time, but one thing for sure is that they fail because I don’t think they sincere enough on the promises. Therefore, I don’t think they are sincere enough to tackle the problem this time either.
From my point of view, it is only an “OMONG KOSONG” and they don’t even discussed the matter.
That’s is why DPM said: “I would meet with Barisan Nasional leaders of the start before the operation gets under way”. It’s a delaying tactic. Let just wait and see whether the so-called “massive ops” exist or just another political gimmick. Maybe they will do 1 or two operations, which also can be doubtful.
Dear PM and DPM and cronies, once again I appeal to you, please be sincere and effective in handling the PATI issues. Please be specific and don’t just say ‘soon’. We have enough burdens on the fuel hike issues. We want guaranteed action on PATI.

MOGOK?? Message to the government......
The panic was triggered by rumours that petrol kiosk will shut down from Wednesday because protesting kiosk dealers nationwide were demanding higher commissions following the recent fuel hike.
Officials from Shell Malaysia and the Sabah Petroleum Dealers Association stressed that there was no truth to the rumour, and urged people not to resort to panic buying.”
What was happened yesterday (24th June 2008) is a reminder to all, not only for Sabahan people but for all Malaysian. We are affected badly by the fuel hike. The message is so very clear: “The people are not as happy as 5 years ago. We are like the ‘jaga’ that always wait for any unwanted alarm. Goodbye to sleep tight and sweet dream.” I think we all know why. No doubt we are currently suffers due to majority of us have made the wrong decision during GE12. This issue suppose to be the wake-up call for our top leader and his co. although I definitely sure they realize what happen and still ‘experimenting’ to come out with best formula to cover their earlier ‘mistake’.
Being just an ordinary civilian of Malaysia, I put my whole trust to our current government to look after our welfare, and I’m sure most of us do. Unfortunately, as of today, more than 100 days after the GE, we have been suffers a lot due to (like what most people said) inefficiency and most obvious corrupted management team. Personally, I still think that BN is the most appropriate ‘management team’ for our country. But this team is jeopardized because of several people (not sure on the percentage tho’) who is not efficient and has below-par performance. To make thing worse, I believe these big percentage is unfortunately from higher rank people or maybe highest rank people.
There were lots of stuffs being circulated talking about how bad and corrupt our present government is. I keep on telling myself not to swallow everything but need to check and do research on the basis of the allegations made. I am not Pakatan Rakyat supporters. And I am not BN supporters either. My vote goes to the right individual that has shows his/her credibility and sincerity in serving the people. (Hard to find this kind of politician nowadays tho’). But our country is at alarming stage where we need changes. I admit as days pass by, I instill a little bit of hatred to our present government for the hardness and difficulties that faced by me everyday. Everyday seems to have something new and unwanted news. I am not really sure how I am going to change my lifestyle (as urge by the our government) for my current life is no style at all. Sabah is not a place where u can have big salary. Almost every night I will say to myself: What happen next?
Back to the incident which had happened yesterday, I am not pretty sure on the assurance given by the Dealer Association. We all know that most of us currently in pretty hard condition which includes the gas station owner (why huh?? Didn’t they gain a lot from the recent fuel hike?). First, they abolished credit cards usage in the pump. They want the
government to heed their call to raises up the commission. If, and only if, their call will not be attended, they might think out of the box. They (association) ever mentioned that they will strike for 8 hours on 26th June if the government continues to ignore or delay the call. If this thing happened, our country is in real trouble.
Dear Pak Lah and his co., look what you’ve done so far. As an ordinary civilian who has no professional views on how to manage a country, please do hear the people’s voices. The only thing that I can tell you is that we are suffering at the moment. I love Malaysia and I will always be. But, I don’t know whether I am still proud to be Malaysian.
MOGOK GAS STATION??? The truth is out there...
This is the news taken from the star online... well they said it is rumours... but everything might happen...
Rumours spark petrol panic in Sabah
KOTA KINABALU: Petrol kiosks were jammed with motorists as panic-buying of fuel was seen throughout Sabah over rumours of petrol kiosks closing down for three days.
The panic was triggered by rumours that petrol kiosk will shut down from Wednesday because protesting kiosk dealers nationwide were demanding higher commissions following the recent fuel hike.
Officials from Shell Malaysia and the Sabah Petroleum Dealers Association stressed that there was no truth to the rumour, and urged people not to resort to panic buying.
"We were told that petrol kiosks were going to close for three days. I rushed from my office to fill my tank,” said motorist Abdul Rashmin Salleh, who said there were also rumours of further price hikes.
Despite being assured that there was no shutdown or fuel hikes, one motorist said that he was not taking the risk.
Most petrol kiosk and roads approaching them were jammed as people waited in long queues to get their tanks filled up; traffic in the city centre came to a standstill during the office rush hour.
In some areas like interior Keningau, queues were as long as 2km, while kiosks ran out of supply.
"Shell retail stations nationwide continue with normal operating hours,” a Sabah Shell spokesman said in a statement.
MOGOK???? GAS STATION???
If anyone of you out there has the answer, please do comment and tell us the real story. I am quite panic at the moment cuz i don’t think my fuel is sufficient for 2 days.
I heard, all gas station will closed their station starting from 4pm today (24/6/2008) for two days. Some says 3 days. And some says 1 week. OMG what the heck… what’s going on to my beloved country Malaysia???
Please…anybody out there…. Pls clarify to us.. we deserve to know what actually happen…….. This is not what I expect for Malaysia going towards Vision 2020.. it looks like we travel back to the past… Car is suppose to be something that helps us in achieving good and quality life… but now I guess it is a burden… my gosh!!!!

SAPP... Hero or another political gimmick???
Personnaly, i wonder how sincere they are (SAPP) in this matter... or is it another political gimmick for personal interest???
SAPP's vote of no confidence against PM (Update 2) (news by the star online)
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) has lost confidence in Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, it said at a press conference here Wednesday.
In the coming sitting of the Parliament session on Monday, its two Members of Parliament will support a vote of no confidence against the Prime Minister, the party said.
Whether its MPs table the vote of no confidence, or whether other MPs will do it, would be determined in due course, it said in a statement.
SAPP’s two MPs are Datuk Eric Enchin Majimbun (P171 Sepanggar) and Datuk Dr Chua Soon Bui (P190 Tawau).
The party also has four state representatives.
The statement was read out by Dr Chua and signed by Majimbun, who was overseas on official duties. He will be back for the Parliament sitting next Monday, June 23.
The statement listed four areas of dissatisfaction with Abdullah's premiership:
1) That no concrete action had been taken on the issue of illegal immigrants, despite repeated requests by SAPP and other Barisan component parties;
2) That the government had offered no holistic economic solutions to cushion the blow of the sudden hike in fuel prices, which had greatly burdened the people and threatened further hardcore poverty;
3) That not enough attention had been paid to issues raised by the people of Sabah -- poor delivery systems, corruption, wastage, lack of transparency and accountability -- and that SAPP would have failed in its duty as elected representatives if these issues continued to be ignored; and
4) That the people have lost confidence in Abdullah, and that if he can't perform, he should step aside and make way for another leader to take over.
Talk had been rife Wednesday morning that SAPP was going to abandon the Barisan Nasional coalition and defect to the Pakatan Rakyat alliance.
The party is running a poll on its blog, asking members of the public whether it should stay on in Barisan, leave the coalition but remain independent, or join Pakatan.
At press time, there were 2,828 votes tallied, with 85% (2,411 votes) asking SAPP to join Pakatan. Only 2% (80 votes) urged it to stay on with Barisan, while the remainder suggested it quit Barisan but remained unaligned.

From heroes to zeroes... from zeroes to "errmmmm"????
Coming home from work one evening, a man called his wife and children to gather for a family meeting. The objective: to draw up plans and course of action to be taken by all of them in view of the current high fuel prices. And everything else that has sky rocketed.
It’s time to adjust and change he told his family. Turning to his wife he told her to spend “wisely” at the market. “Cook enough for all of us and do not waste food,” he said sternly.
“I’m sorry, we have to tighten up our budget. We simply can’t afford lots of things.” His and wife and kids just nodded their heads in silent.
The man stared at his daughter. He turned and looked at his wife and other children. Slowly he broke his silence: “I know. But that’s what I’ve been reading in the papers and hearing on TV and radio. Everyday they tell us to change our life style. I’m just repeating what they say.”
This story is just a figment of my imagination. But for all you know, it could very well be true. I let a friend of mine tread this piece before sending it to the editors at Sin Chew Daily. And he told me, if this article was meant as a joke, then it was not funny.
My reply to him was, it was not supposed to be funny. After all these are depressing times we’re in now. And that’s no joke.

OIL, OIL and OIL
Oil Price (By Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad)
The price of crude oil has increased by 400 percent in the last three years. It follows that the price of products must increase, sooner or later. In other countries petrol prices had already increased. In the United Kingdom one litre of petrol sells for more than one pound sterling or RM7. In the United States it is about RM5.
