"ODOI ODU" big winner in Astro Kirana Short Film Award

Congratulations to Farizie bin Morinding on his aspiring "Odoi Odu (Oh Grandma" short film which was the big winner last nite on Astro Kirana Short Film Award. I am so proud of him and as a Sabahan myself I wish him a very fruitful career ahead. Indeed It's nice and proud to see another Sabahan won an award in this industry.

After the award ceremony, which was live telecast in astro kirana channel, I watched his film and I was so amazed on the performance of the 'odu' character. As if there were no camera in front of her, and doing and acting so brilliantly. One will really inspired and awed by watching that film albeit Dusun language was used in the dialogue. Once again, Congratulations 'Odoi Odu'.

One In A Million Season 3 - Top 11

Top 11 concert @ 27th Feb 2009

Hi loyal reader..

I'm back with my review on OIAM top 11 concert. Last night concert was so disappointing and none of the contestant's voice worth 1 million ringgit. Personally, I think none of them should be awarded the immunity, not even Amylea. If, and only if, the judges have to give away the award, then the real contestant should be Simon. I know, in term of pitch and vocal, Amylea seems more flawless, yet she didn't show any star value in her performance.

Elimination round. By looking at the bottom 3, one may guess the message rendered by Malaysian. We, as the audiences of OIAM, will not vote for existing celebrity to win the competition. Lucky for Amylea to won the immunity. However, I am not surprise to saw Ayu to be voted out. I don't think she will have great impact on the show tho'. Anyhow, how I wish its Amylea or Pija to be voted out.

Lets talk about each contestant's performance last nite. Song choice is the main factor that contributed to the boringness and excruciatingly concert.

Esther
I agree with Paul when he said that he didn't feel connected to the performance. Me either. A very disappointing performance with pitchy opening. Not as powerful as last week. And its because of her wrong song choice. Anyhow, she did OKAY.

Han
Singing Getaran Jiwa with awful music arrangement. One word to describe her performance. OUT. Everything is not right. High note, OUT, low note, OUT, Opening, OUT, pitching ke laut cina selatan terus ke laut sulu, bergelora dan berbahaya kepada pulau Labuan. Song choice, OUT. Worst performance of the nite.

Simon
I like his song choice (Knocking on heaven's door). I really like his husky voice tonite. But i really hate the guitar in the performance. Its 2 consecutive weeks he brought the guitar with him. Nice vocal but bad showmanship. OKAY. Please get rid of the guitar and someone please hide his guitar, or better, throw it.

Nine
I begin to hate this guy. I hate his 'tahan-tahan tekak' voice. Starting jak dah out. Again, bad song choice. I really really really hate the live audience giving him a big applaud, which he didn't deserved to get, not even 10% of it. WORSE.

Amylea
Boring song. Boring performance with no star value. Of course, no problem on pitching because her own song. Didn't deserved the immunity, in fact no one deserved it either. Just OKAY.

Rizu
Weirdo. Hate his facial expression, very annoying. Weird vocal either (macam 80% suara hidung). Good vocal range tho'. Just OKAY.

Anith
I hate the music arrangement, weird. Again, another bad song choice. Boring performance. Didn't feel that she had connection with the song. Okay.

Tomok
Starting note, OUT. It was an okay performance with no star value in it, nothing special with the performance. Again, didn't like the music arrangement. i wonder why the music arrangement tonite seems so weird. just OKAY. I hated the showmanship and movement of Tomok. I hated how he plays with his hand and the 'kangkang-kangkang' legs. lol.

Aweera
LOL.. terbabas... For Sabahan, they call it 'terkiok' or 'terpeleot'. Another worst performance. I really really can't wait for him to stop singing. Really excruciating performance. What with the tears??? Cheap publicity i guess. I don't think it work man. Sorry.. but he deserved another round because he still have that special voice, but tonite, it just don't work.

Pija
I wonder why the judges said that her performance was okay. I beg to differ. It was completely pitchy all the way. Low note, out... I can't hardly hear what she was saying. High note, 'tidak sampai pun'.. Not Okay. But, one thing good about Pija was her energy level, which is so high. I like it.

Fify
OKAY performance. Better than last week. Just okay with nothing special that will make the audiences to remembered her performance. Forgettable I would say.

Overall, I would say that this was the most disappointing concert so far. None of them made us awed. Everyone picking the wrong songs that not suited to them and their voice. I couldn't give my ranking. Anyhow, my prediction for bottom 3 are;

Han, Nine, Pija

And the person that will leave next week is Han.

By the way, don't forget to vote 'YES' or "YA' for Esther albeit her not-so-good performance this week.

In a day of shame, Parliament came close to emulating the Taiwan legislature

...It was indeed one the most embarrassing scene in the history of parliament in Malaysia. It shouldn't happened. Personally, they (especially the Pemuda UMNO) shows how childish and immature are they by confronting Karpal in such a way. Things can be handled in so many way, and its all about choices. Smarter people will never act like that. I am really upset and sad on our political scenario lately. It become worst and ugly....

The nude pictures of Elizabeth Wong...

Police: Doctored pictures of Eli Wong going around

KUALA LUMPUR: Doctored nude pictures of Bukit Lanjan MP Elizabeth Wong are being circulated over the Internet and mobile phones.

City police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Muhammad Sabtu Osman, who acknowledged this, said police were collecting all necessary information pertaining to the case.

He said police believed certain parties were trying to take advantage of the situation following the recent circulation of Wong’s scandalous pictures.

“I’m warning those responsible to stop doing so,” he said at a press conference yesterday.

Meanwhile, on the latest development of the case, DCP Muhammad Sabtu said police had so far recorded statements from 12 witnesses, including four reporters.

He also said that police were not rushing to record Hilmi Malek’s statement as they were paying more attention to finding out who was responsible for circulating Wong’s pictures.

Hilmi, Wong’s former boyfriend, is believed to be in Indonesia currently.

Last Friday, DCP Muhammad Sabtu said police believed the pictures were taken by someone known to the victim.

One In A Million Season 3 - Top 12 concerts

It has begun and I feel awesome because i think by mile this is the best season ever. All of the contestants are very talented and have different styles and genre. Having watched the show tonite, I was so thankful that this time around, they seriously are looking for real talent. Having said that, I also have my own favorite and she is Esther, who happened to received the very 1st immunity. Yup, this season they change the format a bit by having immunity. This immunity will be given to the most outstanding contestant of the night, which automatically guarantee his/her place to the next round without going thru the elimination round. I kinda agree with this new format.

Let's talk about the performance tonite.

Anith
omg, pitchy all the way.. but very energetic. She didn't really feel the song.

Amylea
Starting with a little bit shaky. Pitchy at couple of note. Wrong choice of song. And the biggest problem I had with Amylea (since AF) is her diction (for malay song only). But overall, I like her performance. Okay.

Simon
The guitar was his only distraction. He shouldn't play the guitar because he seemed like losing his focus on singing. Anyhow, he did a very good performance and great vocal too. Okay.

Ayu
Very high confident level and has a very good voice. I like her performance.

Fifi
Starting note..OUT.. Lower note.. OUT.. Pitchy from the 1st note. The song (If I were a boy by Beyonce) was a little too big for her and she shouldn't pick that song. Average performance.

Aweera
Nice vocal indeed! Very different from the other contestant. But hardly hear what he was saying. Energetic performance and could be the dark horse of the competition.

Pija
Nice performance. I don't like the movement on stage tho'. Lucky because of the aura of the song which effect her performance. Okay performance.

Nine
The worst performance of the night! I don't like it from the moment he opened his mouth. Pitchy on the 1st note and only one word I will describe the whole performance: FORGETTABLE!

Han
Great ballad singer. Great feeling. I was able to feel her but picthy here and there. Okay performance.

Tomok
Wow! I didn't expected that from Tomok. He really a different singer in this competition. Syafinaz was right about the 'sengau' thing. I was amazed and shocked in the same time. I like how he begin the song but as it progresses, i hardly hear what he was saying. Anyhow, one of the great performance so far.

Esther
She deserved to get the immunity. She really was fantastic and she realy connected to the song. Early favorite to take home the title and grab the 1 million ringgit. MAGIC performance. Paul was right, she really make her audiences (be it at home or as live audiences) feels the song. I was so amazed! FANTASTIC!

Rizu
To close the show like that..ermmm..pathetic.. i don't like his vocal at all. No originality on showmanship (tiru M.Nasir). I wonder how he won in AIM. Sorry Rizu.

My reader, just to remind you that the above critiques are solely based on my very own opinion. I don't give a damn if few of you may or may not agree with it. Hahahahha... Based on the 1st concert, here are my ranking:

1. Esther
2. Tomok
3. Simon
4. Aweera
5. Han
6. Ayu
7. Pija
8. Amylea
9. Fify
10.Anith
11. Rizu
12.Nine

Errmm.. so the person who will be leaving 1st is NINE.. but since he is a recording artist and has his own follower, and based on history on any reality show in Malaysia (which in opinion, biase and look more on good looking GUY), i guess its going to be Anith who gonna leave first. Let just wait for the result nect week (27th Feb). Till then.. bye..

Perak MB and exco ‘suspended’

News by TheStar Online..

IPOH: Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and all six state executive council members have been suspended and barred from the state assembly for showing contempt for the House.

While Dr Zambry’s suspension is for 18 months, the others have been suspended for 12 months each.

State Legislative Assembly Speaker V. Sivakumar, who headed the Committee of Special Privileges which summoned the seven to answer to a complaint, made the order on grounds that they had failed to give any explanation yesterday.

The complaint of contempt for the House by the seven was made by Canning assemblyman Wong Kah Woh following which the notices to appear before the committee was made last Saturday.

“Dr Zambry and the six exco members have failed and did not give any explanation to the committee.

“They failed to offer any explanation on their actions of contempt for the House and hence have been found guilty as charged.

“I have decided that Dr Zambry is, with immediate effect, suspended and barred from attending State Assembly sessions for 18 months while the six exco members are barred for 12 months,” said Sivakumar in a statement here yesterday.

The sole Barisan Nasional representative in the seven-member committee, Datuk Hasbullah Osman, was absent from the inquiry that started at 2.55pm.

A cheerful Dr Zambry and the exco entered the meeting room for about 30 minutes and exited later without speaking to the press.

Wong, who presented his case before the committee, said he stated that Dr Zambry and the six exco members had shown contempt for the House when they were sworn into the assembly through unconstitutional means.

The committee later convened its closed-door meeting until 5.05pm. At 6.20pm when Sivakumar was leaving, he was asked whether he had powers to bar assemblymen without bringing the matter to the House.

He said: “I will notify the House.”

American Idol Season 8 -1st group performance

I kinda agree with Cowell that last night show hasn't really awed the audiences (be it as live audiences or home audiences).

Despite the average performances from the 1st group contestants, I personally have my own favorite tho', and for me the most outstanding performer last night was Danny who sang "hero' (oa: Mariah Carey).

In my point of view, this season of American Idol (season 8) was by mile (Simon's words) the best season ever. This season is full of strong contenders with great vocal and personality, which I think will be very hard to predict the Winner, or even the Top 12.

Having said that, I personally have my own favorite. I definitely choose Danny as the early favorite to be crowned as AI Winner. But we all know what happened to David Archuleta (in season 7), albeit being the most preferred winner, he lost surprisingly. The competition is still a have a long journey ahead and we all know how steep is their journey. It's not all about good vocal and great performance that count, but it's about consistency and enthusiasm that blend together with the latter and great personality, which will make Americans fall in love with the contestant.

Who will get through to the Top 12 from the 1st group???

My top 3 are:
1. Danny
2. Alexis
3. Tatiana (because of her determination..hehehe)

Well the result has been revealed, and here are the result:

Breaking news..Elizabeth Wong (whose nude photographs were being circulated) quits

PETALING JAYA: Selangor executive council member and Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong, whose nude photographs were being circulated, has quit both positions, paving the way for a third by-election within the next two months.

She said she will discuss with Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim to arrange for the proper handover of her responsibilities.

Her resignation would be subject to Khalid's approval. The party is expected to accept her resignation.

PKR adviser and de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to call a press conference on the issue Tuesday afternoon.

Khalid confirmed that he had received Wong’s resignation letter and said he would get the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah’s views on Wong’s decision to quit all posts.

“I shall be seeking an audience with his His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor to brief him on the issue and seek his guidance,” he said, adding that he has asked Wong to take leave and “have a deserved rest.”

“This turn of events is unfortunate as ... Wong has been an exemplary exco member,” Khalid said in a statement.

“It is most unfortunate that certain elements have resorted to such despicable acts to smear her (Wong’s) name and integrity.

“I am sure Malaysians and the people of Selangor will reject the use of such shameful tactics and join me in condemning the people responsible,” he added.

Meanwhile, Wong said that she would continue to serve the people and "fight for justice for Malaysia.”

She said that although the smear campaign directed against her has caused a lot of anguish, she is aware that the real objective is to discredit PKR.

“I have done nothing wrong; I wish to state that I am not ashamed of my sexuality as a woman and as a single person," Wong said at a press conference outside the PKR headquarters here Tuesday morning.

Also present were PKR vice-president Sivarasa Rasiah and her fellow exco members Teresa Kok and Xavier Jeyakumar.

“I have broken no law; I stand by the fundamenal principles of a democracy that everyone has a right to privacy,” Wong said, breaking down in tears.

She said that she believed that the attacks would continue in greater intensity and PKR’s political rivals would continue to “manipulate the situation.”

“Accordingly, I have decided to make a stand in the interest of the party and its struggle for the people,” Wong said.

Many supporters who had gathered called for her to withdraw her offer to resign.

Wong was also the state exco member in charge of Tourism, Consumer Affairs and the Environment, and the information chief of the Women’s wing of PKR and of her division Petaling Jaya Utara.

Wong earlier said that she was informed last Friday by journalists from a daily that they were in possession of intimate photographs of her and that the daily was about to publish a story about them.

She described the distribution and publication of the materials a malicious attack on her personality, a gross outrage of her modesty and a gross invasion of her privacy.

OCPD Asst Comm Arjunaidi Mohamed confirmed that Wong had lodged a police report Sunday night and said that police were investigating.

He said that Wong had heard about the photographs being circulated from friends and journalists.

“We will be calling everyone involved to give their statements as soon as possible,” he said.

ACP Arjunaidi warned that action would be taken against anyone found distributing the pictures.

“You may face a jail term of up to three years, a fine, or both, under Section 292 of the Penal Code for distributing and having in possession material containing pornographic elements,” he said.

There is talk that the pictures, allegedly snapped without her consent or knowledge, might have been taken and circulated by an ex-boyfriend.

The distribution of her photographs has incensed women’s groups and leaders from both sides of the political divide.

MCA Wanita chief Datin Chew Mei Fun condemned the person or persons responsible, saying:

“We are outraged by such shameful acts of using women as sexual objects. It is an outright invasion of the privacy of women as well as an exploitation of women.”

Chew said taking photographs of bodily parts without consent or knowledge is against the law and punishable under the Penal Code (Act 574) and publishing such pornographic materials in the public domain also constituted to a violation of the same Act.

Wong, in a personal message on her blog, thanked everyone for messages of support.

“I am grateful for your support and kind words of encouragement, especially from my constituents, my party and Pakatan members, exco members and old friends. This means the world to me.

“I also wish to thank some fellow politicians from the other opposite end of the political divide for their encouragement too,” she said.

Wong won the Bukit Lanjan seat with a majority of over 5,000, the second largest majority won by a PKR state assembly candidate in Selangor, in the general election on March 8 last year.

On Monday, Khalid had said that the scandal would not affect Wong’s ability to serve as assemblyman and exco member.

“I have full confidence that she will continue to carry out her duties efficiently,” he said in a statement, adding that in her 11 months in office, she had proven that she could carry out her duties as assemblyman and exco member diligently and intelligently.

Elizabeth Wong claims some unscrupulous people out to discredit her

VS

Is that really her??? photo from here..

KUALA LUMPUR: Bukit Lanjan assemblyman Elizabeth Wong, whose nude photographs are being circulated, says she is a victim of unscrupulous persons who wish to embarrass and discredit her.

The Selangor state executive councillor also appealed to the media to give her and her family some breathing space “in this trying time so that I can weather this huge challenge”.

She said this in a statement which carried her official letterhead. It was handed to reporters at her office and also e-mailed to the media.

Wong said she was informed on Friday by journalists from a daily that they were in possession of intimate photographs of her and that the daily was about to publish a story about them.

“I was told that some people were trying to distribute photos or videos showing me asleep in partial nudity and also in intimate positions,” she said.

Calling the distribution and publication of the materials a malicious attack on her personality, Wong said it was a gross outrage of her modesty, a gross invasion of her privacy, and in particular the sanctity of her personal life.

“I am a victim in this incident,” she said, adding that she had lodged a police report on Sunday and would fully co-operate with the police in their investigation.

“I will therefore not speculate publicly about those responsible for this gross invasion of my privacy,” she said.

Wong said her family members were standing behind her and thanked her supporters, friends, colleagues and constituents for their support, concern and encouragement.

“I will, in the meantime, continue to carry out my task of serving the people of Selangor faithfully,” she added.

There is talk that the pictures might have been taken and circulated by an ex-boyfriend.

Jokes...Best Joke in the UK

One Chinese person walks into a bar in America late one night and he saw Steven Spielberg. As he was a great fan of his movies, he rushes over to him, and asks for his autograph.

Instead, Spielberg gives him a slap and says "You Chinese people bombed our Pearl Harbor, get out of here."

The astonished Chinese man replied "It was not the Chinese who bombed your Pearl Harbor , it was the Japanese".

"Chinese, Japanese, Taiwanese, you're all the same," replied Spielberg.

In return, the Chinese gives Spielberg a slap and says "You sank the Titanic; my forefathers were on that ship."

Shocked, Spielberg replies "It was the iceberg that sank the ship, not me."

The Chinese replies, "Iceberg, Spielberg, Carlsberg, you're all the same."

Jokes.. Kisah Pendek - Kenapa Sekretariku Di Pecat

Kami berdua pergi lunch.

Part 2 - Do you believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution?

Perhaps the most controversial part about Darwin’s theory of evolution is the origin of species particularly on the origin of mankind. According to Darwin, we (human) are the evolved product of ape, which explained in his theory called natural selection. His theory triggered many individuals to do a research. If I’m not mistaken our very first ancestor (according to a research) is an ape named ‘Lucy’.

In 1974 Donald Johanson and associates discovered about 40% of a skeleton of a short (3-4 foot tall), small brained (380-450cc) creature. This find was named "Lucy" since the Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" was playing on tape recorder in the tent where Johanson was examining the fossils. Johanson announced that Lucy was 3.5 million years old and walked upright.

In the following year, 1975, Johanson's team unearthed 13 more individuals; four juveniles and nine adults. They were declared to be ancestors of man (hominids) and were named the "First Family". With names like Lucy, First Family, Lucy's Child, etc., how can these finds be anything but human ancestors? Lucy and her associates were portrayed as walking upright, with small human bodies and ape-like heads. This view has been widely publicized.

Read more here..

Personally, me myself believe that Darwin’s theory is right and could be 100% true. I don’t think Mr. Darwin was a bigot. Of course, many individuals and organizations however rejected the theory of evolution particularly on the origin of mankind. Most of them, perhaps every one of them, are those who believe in religion, or those who believe in God as the Creator of the universe and her habitants. Don’t get me wrong. Me myself is a Catholic yet I do have my own theory thou on the theory of evolution. To be accurate, I tried to find the connection between the story of creation and the origin of mankind, which of course is not encourage to do in any religion, I guess.

The story of creation (based on Christianity in the book of Genesis).

1 First God made heaven & earth 2 The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters. 3 And God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light. 4 And God saw that the light was good; and God separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day. 6 And God said, "Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it separate the waters from the waters." 7 And God made the firmament and separated the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament. And it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And there was evening and there was morning, a second day. 9 And God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear." And it was so. 10 God called the dry land Earth, and the waters that were gathered together he called Seas. And God saw that it was good. 11 And God said, "Let the earth put forth vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind, upon the earth." And it was so. 12 The earth brought forth vegetation, plants yielding seed according to their own kinds, and trees bearing fruit in which is their seed, each according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13 And there was evening and there was morning, a third day. 14 And God said, "Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to separate the day from the night; and let them be for signs and for seasons and for days and years, 15 and let them be lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth." And it was so. 16 And God made the two great lights, the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light upon the earth, 18 to rule over the day and over the night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good. 19 And there was evening and there was morning, a fourth day. 20 And God said, "Let the waters bring forth swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the firmament of the heavens." 21 So God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarm, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." 23 And there was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. 24 And God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures according to their kinds: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth according to their kinds." And it was so. 25 And God made the beasts of the earth according to their kinds and the cattle according to their kinds, and everything that creeps upon the ground according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth." 29 And God said, "Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit; you shall have them for food. 30 And to every beast of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to everything that creeps on the earth, everything that has the breath of life, I have given every green plant for food." And it was so. 31 And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, a sixth day.

From my point of view, God did not create the earth in days albeit the book of Genesis mentioned. One day in the Genesis is not necessary one day as in one full day from 12 midnight to 11.59pm. A priest once told me that we should not take the bible literally for The Bible is and always will mysterious, and very difficult to understand by mankind unless you are guided by the power of The Holy Ghost.

As we can see in verse 26 in Genesis,

26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

Perhaps this is the main reason why the Church never agrees with Darwin. If man are originally from ape (according to Darwin), then how about the phrase “Let us make man in OUR IMAGE”???? Did Darwin suggest that God look like an ape or akin to ape??? Gosh… This will abate religion. This is really mind-boggling.

I have my own opinion on the above. Darwin is very true on his theory but his theory is actually on verse 24 and 25.

I strongly feel that the process of creating took a very long time or period. God, in His process of creation, tried to create a perfect beast amongst His creation to be the leader of all. While in the process, He actually created an ape (not perfect), and ape (not perfect due to missing function of legs..hahaha), and ape (still not perfect, so much hairy..hehehe), and ape (still not perfect.. have no verbal capabilities), and ape, until one fine day, God said why don’t we create something that is look like us, it should be perfect, thus, He created the perfect ape named HUMAN and this is where Darwin’s Theory is applied.

So, Mr. Darwin, you are very right and salute you for that. The theory of natural selection also perhaps was the best to explain why variations in mankind existed. Although God created us according to His image, our environment tend to change our physical, for instance color of our skin, height, etc. Thus, I believe that we, human are still in the process of evolution (due to the environment or place as in the natural selection theory) albeit we are perfect as His creation.

To my reader, I welcome any argument or suggestion on this topic.

Do you believe in Darwin's Theory of Evolution?

Darwin's Theory of Evolution - The Premise
Darwin's Theory of Evolution is the widely held notion that all life is related and has descended from a common ancestor: the birds and the bananas, the fishes and the flowers -- all related. Darwin's general theory presumes the development of life from non-life and stresses a purely naturalistic (undirected) "descent with modification". That is, complex creatures evolve from more simplistic ancestors naturally over time. In a nutshell, as random genetic mutations occur within an organism's genetic code, the beneficial mutations are preserved because they aid survival -- a process known as "natural selection." These beneficial mutations are passed on to the next generation. Over time, beneficial mutations accumulate and the result is an entirely different organism (not just a variation of the original, but an entirely different creature).

In spite of the change, most passenger cars mainly from Japan are right hand driven.

The first vending machine was invented by Hero of Alexandria around 215 BC. When the coin was dropped into a slot, it fell upon a pan attached to a lever. The lever opened up a valve which dispense a fix amount of holy water. The pan continued to tilt with the weight of the coin until it fell off, at which point a counter-weight would snap the lever back up and turn off the valve.

New Genie - The Ostrich

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him.

The waitress asks them for their orders. The man says, 'A hamburger, fries and a coke,' and turns to the ostrich, 'What's yours?' 'I'll have the same,' says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress returns with the order 'That will be $9.40 please,' and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment.

The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, 'A hamburger, fries and a coke.' The ostrich says, 'I'll have the same.' Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.

This becomes routine until the two enter again. 'The usual?' asks the waitress. 'No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad,' says the man. 'Same,' says the ostrich. Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, 'That will be $32.62. 'Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.

The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. 'Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket everytime?' 'Well,' says the man, 'several years ago I was cleaning the attic and found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes.

My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there. 'That's brilliant!' says the waitress. 'Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!' 'That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there,' says the man.

The waitress asks, 'What's with the ostrich?' The man sighs, pauses and answers, 'My second wish was for a tall chick with a big ass and long legs who agrees with everything I say.'

Another Historical Win for Rafael Nadal

(photo taken from eurosport..)

It was indeed another epic Grand Slam final between the Spaniard and his arch rival, Roger Federer. I was so excited and glad to see my fav (Rafa) finally won his first ever hard court major title when he defeating Federer, 7-5, 3-6, 7-6, 3-6, 6-2 in 4 hours and 23 mins at the Australian Open Final last nite. Last year, also defeated Federer in Wimbeldon final in the greatest match ever as described by many. See full story here.

Congratulations Rafa... No doubt You are the best player in the world at the moment.. But one thing disturbed me was the emotions shown by Federer.. it just annoying and doesn't make sense at all... why must he cried??? Bad Federer....

The following article is taken from eurosport:

Rafael Nadal captured the Australian Open title with an enthralling 7-5 3-6 7-6 3-6 6-2 win over Roger Federer, denying the Swiss a chance to win a record-equalling 14th Grand Slam title.

The world number one became the first Spaniard to win the Open and chalked up his fifth straight win over Federer, including last year's French Open and Wimbledon finals.

The victory took his Grand Slam tally to six and left him needing only to win the US Open to complete the full set while reducing Federer to tears.

"God, it's killing me," Federer sobbed during the presentation ceremony.

"Rafa congrats, you played incredible, you deserve it man. (You) played another fantastic final."

Nadal offered a consoling word to his great rival after receiving the winner's trophy and a cheque for A$2 million from the only person to have twice completed the Grand Slam.

"For me to receive this trophy from Rod Laver is a dream for me," Nadal said. "It was an amazing two weeks for me."

"Roger, sorry for today. I really know how you feel right now.

"It's really tough (but) remember you are a great champion, one of the best in history and you have proved that."

The final at Melbourne Park lived up to all expectations as the two best players of their generation slugged it out for almost 4-1/2 hours in a classic match packed with magical shotmaking and intense drama.

The momentum swung back and forth throughout before Nadal struck the killer blow when he broke in the fourth game of the deciding set when Federer slapped a backhand into the net then again in the eighth game to seal a famous victory.

Nadal, showing no signs of fatigue despite his five hour, 14 minute victory over compatriot Fernando Verdasco in the semi-finals, started the match full of energy and was still running as strongly as ever at the end.

He broke Federer in the opening game and despite twice losing his own serve, he wrapped up the first set in 58 minutes after the Swiss master overcooked two backhands.

Nadal was again the first to break in the second set when Federer mistimed a forehand over the baseline but the three-times Australian Open champion won the next four games to level the match.

The pair maintained their extraordinary standard of play in a third set that was even more enthralling than the first two.

There were no service breaks in the set but Nadal saved three break points in the ninth and 11th games while world number two Federer survived a set point to force the tie-breaker.

While Nadal lost the first point on his serve, he regained his composure to win four on the trot after they were level at 3-3 to grab a two sets to one lead.

The pair traded breaks early in the fourth set before Federer, a 13-times Grand Slam winner, saved five break points in the fifth game then broke Nadal in the next to seize the initiative.

Federer safely held his two games to force the match into a deciding fifth, the first time an Australian Open final had gone the distance since Mats Wilander beat Pat Cash in 1988, the same year the tournament switched from Kooyong to the current site at Melbourne Park.
